Balancing Family, Business & Community
Balancing motherhood and entrepreneurship is both my greatest challenge and my greatest strength — and it’s shaped how I view leadership, community, and the importance of work-life balance in Rancho Santa Margarita.
I run two businesses here in RSM:
- A marketing and business consulting firm, helping companies grow with purpose and integrity.
- A commercial architecture firm, focused on creating functional, meaningful spaces that foster connection and creativity.
These experiences keep me at the pulse of local life — working closely with families, parents, and small business owners who love this community but also understand its challenges. Like many of you, I know how important it is to have access to safe, enriching spaces for our children after school — places that give parents peace of mind and kids a sense of belonging.
That’s why when the city decided not to renew the contract with the Boys & Girls Club, it deeply resonated with me as both a mother and a resident. For many working parents, that program wasn’t just an option — it was essential. The decision made me realize how critical it is to have leadership that listens, values families, and prioritizes community wellbeing.
⚖️ The Importance of Balance and Support
According to the Pew Research Center, over 60% of working parents say balancing work and family responsibilities is difficult.
Here in Orange County, small businesses and working families form the foundation of our community — but they can only thrive when cities make decisions that support them. That includes after-school programs, youth development opportunities, local childcare partnerships, and family-friendly policies.
💡 What I Stand For
⚖️ Balance: Ensuring city programs and partnerships help working families succeed.
💼 Economic Growth with Integrity: Supporting small businesses that strengthen our local economy.
🏘️ Community Wellbeing: Expanding after-school programs and family resources like the Boys & Girls Club.
👩👧 Family-Centered Leadership: Making city decisions through the lens of families and future generations.
As a mother, I know what it means to juggle schedules, responsibilities, and hopes for our kids. As a business owner, I understand how leadership decisions ripple through an entire community. And as a resident, I believe RSM deserves leaders who lead with heart, logic, and listening.
For me, running for City Council isn’t just about policy — it’s about people. It’s about ensuring that families never lose the programs, support, and sense of belonging that make Rancho Santa Margarita such a special place to call home.
